At the heart of this magical season lies the Ballo dalle Rose, held on Saturday, February 14, 2026. This is not just another Carnival event—it is the jewel of the season, a night whispered about in the most elegant circles, where romance, artistry, and tradition come together in perfect harmony.
The setting is the magnificent Palazzo Donà delle Rose, a hidden treasure in the Cannaregio district overlooking the Fondamenta Nove. Built in the early 17th century by Doge Leonardo Donà, the palace embodies the grandeur of Venice’s golden age. Its Istrian stone façade glows under the flicker of torchlight, while the painted-arch water entrance recalls centuries of noble arrivals. Inside, a sweeping grand staircase leads to the piano nobile, where frescoed ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and historic décor create the illusion that time itself has paused. Each detail—from gilded mirrors to candlelit corridors—revives the splendor of Venetian soirées, turning the present into a living tableau of Renaissance refinement.

The evening begins with a sparkling welcome cocktail in the grand halls of the Palazzo, where chandeliers scatter light across frescoed ceilings and the air hums with the soft rustle of silk and velvet. Dinner follows as a lavish five-course dinner with each dish a tribute to local tradition, accompanied by fine wines. The setting itself feels timeless: music playing softly, gilded walls glowing in the candlelight.

As the night deepens, the palace comes alive. Musicians strike their chords, singers’ voices soar, and acrobats astonish with feats of grace. Historical dances unfold across the marble floors, and the boundary between past and present dissolves. Guests glide through minuets and waltzes, their movements echoing centuries of tradition, until the entire palace pulses with a sense of wonder and joy.
